Quality Assurance and Food Safety

Here and Around the World
HACCP has become synonymous with food safety. A HACCP program identifies potential food safety risks, creates control processes to mitigate risk and reduces the likelihood that a hazard will occur. The agri-food industry and consumers alike enjoy the confidence that comes with producing and consuming a product that meets internationally recognized safety standards. In Canada, Feed Assure is the brand name given to the feed safety program, which is certified by the Animal Nutrition Association of Canada (ANAC).

Our Commitment

Maintaining our certification through annual third-party audits and continuing to fine-tune our existing HACCP program.

Supporting our farmers as they implement on-farm feed safety and quality programs.

Recognizing our part in the food chain, we will continue to support food safety and quality initiatives in the agri-food industry.

Control Points
Process steps in the mill
The identification of critical control points is a vital part of the HACCP program. Critical control points are identified after assessing the biological, chemical and physical hazards associated within each step of the production process.
Our HACCP program ensures that once critical control points are identified, additional measures and activities can be put in place to reduce the likelihood that hazards occur.
