This will affect the lifetime milk production of each cow. Heifer growth rates (height, weight and body condition score) should be monitored and adjustments made to the feeding program as necessary.

Heifer Supplement

A palatable blend of proteins, minerals and vitamins this supplement is medicated with Bovatec, to be fed with grains and roughages, promoting feed intake and maximizing growth on young growing heifers aged 6-12 months.

Heifer Premixes

Floradale’s highly fortified mineral vitamin premixes are medicated with either Bovatec or Rumensin and designed for older heifers (yearlings+) on high forage diets.

Dry Cow Premix

Designed to be usable for dairy cows during the entire dry period, our vitamin and mineral premix is to be fed with grains and supplemental protein, optimally preparing them for calving and lactation.

Using the latest nutritional technologies, the FFM Dry Cow Premix is a custom blend of macro minerals, trace minerals and vitamins which support absorption and utilization for ‘far-away’ dry cows in a ‘two-step’ dry cow feeding program or throughout the entire dry period in a ‘one-step’ dry cow feeding program.

KEEPING HER CALCIUM ELEVATED IN ONE EASY STEP

Designed with the latest nutritional technologies, CalStart-X contains X-Zelit (Sodium Aluminosilicate) for a smooth transition and optimal calcium balance that will have her ready and healthy around calving.

Calstart-X is a palatable blend of proteins, minerals, vitamins, additives and X-Zelit in a pelleted form that is fed to close-up dry cows and heifers. When fed with a prescribed nutritionally balanced program, it is designed to prepare cows and heifers for calving and the onset of lactation.

PREPARING PREPARTUM COWS AND HEIFERS FOR CALVING AND LACTATION

This conventional, economical and palatable blend of proteins, minerals, vitamins and yeast helps prepare for high production. In a two-group dry cow feeding program, Prestart can be fed to the ‘close-up’ group for approximately 21 days prior to calving. This formula can be fed as a topdress or mixed into a Total Mixed Ration (TMR).

EXCEL 28% DRY COW SUPPLEMENT

PREPARING PREPARTUM COWS AND HEIFERS FOR CALVING AND LACTATION

Designed with the tested nutritional technologies, Excel Dry Cow supplement is a blend of anionic products. This palatable blend of proteins, fibre ingredients, minerals, vitamins, additives and anionic products is a pelleted form fed to prepartum cows and heifers. Excel is used to acidify the diet for a negative DCAD option allowing for smooth transition through calving. In a two-group dry cow feeding program, Excel can be fed to the ‘close-up’ group for approximately 21 days prior to calving. This supplement can be fed as a topdress or mixed into a Total Mixed Ration (TMR)
